Are You Beautifying Your Home's Entry Way?
Have you ever heard that people who lived in the nineteenth century paid extra attention to the entry hall of their homes? They might have felt that, by putting all of their finest decorating pieces in that first room. they would give visitors the feeling that the homeowners were well-to-do. Whether that is fact or fancy, maybe you are wanting to beautify your home's entryway. After all, that is the first thing that people see when they enter your home, and that includes you and your family members.

Start With Replacement Entry Doors
As you select new doors for your entryway, you'll want to choose doors that are beautiful both on the outside of your house and on the inside.
One way to beautify your entryway is to choose wooden doors that have glass as part of the door's design. For instance, for a contemporary look, choose black doors with beveled glass inserts. For the contemporary look you want, choose hardware that is very simple. Pewter hardware would complement the black color.
Maybe you want an extremely elegant look in your entryway. If so, think of choosing dark wood for the doors and select an elaborate design for the glass inserts. Ornate brass hardware would be an excellent choice.
Another good choice for elegant entry doors would be to select cherry red doors and stained glass inserts. Silver-toned or gold-toned hardware would both work.
Add Furniture And Decor
Once you have selected your replacement entry doors, it will be easier for you to select the additional decorative pieces. Choose furniture that will complement the entry doors you selected.
For example, if you went with a black entry door for a contemporary look, choose a black shellacked sideboard table and modernistic lamps to go on it.
If you chose beveled glass for an elegant look, a set of small formal chairs and an occasional table between them would be ideal. A crystal vase with faux roses would be a lovely touch, too.
If you went with cherry red doors and stained glass as part of their design, think of buying a formal style console table and place a Tiffany lamp on it with decorative crystal birds on each side of the lamp.
A long, narrow carpet and an umbrella stand to match the entry door and your other decorative pieces will be an excellent finishing touch.
